• Azurill and Eevee are the only Pokemon to completely change types when evolving.
• Starting at the second generation, each generation has had four more legendaries than the previous one. If this pattern continues, Generation V will have 18 legendaries.
• There has been a huge debate over whether Phione was a legendary until Pokemon.com sent an email confirming that it was. Because of this, Phione is now the weakest legendary.
• Pokemonopal.com and Pokemontopaz.com have both been registered by Nintendo and redirect to the Nintendo site (try it!). Possible fifth generation games, anyone? Also, Pokemonamethyst.com, Pokemontourmaline.com, and Pokemonwhitegold.com (?) work like this, too.
• That's not even close to the end of the weird Nintendo domains. Nintendo has also registered WiiScience.com, WiiBeauty.com, WiiKaraoke.com, WiiStudent.com, WiiBreeding.com, and much more (full list here). I wonder how many of these games will actually be released...
• Smeargle, only knowing Stetch, can have the smallest moveset or the largest depending on how you look at it.
• Generation IV did not have any Fire types except for starters and legendaries.
• Butterfree weighs 70.5 lbs. Kind of heavy for a butterfly, don't you think?
• It would actually make more sense if Crystal and Platinum switched names because gold, silver, and platinum are metals and diamonds, pearls, and crystals are gemstones.
• Also, continuing from above, Nintendo has registered the rights to DawnGold and DuskSilver. GS REMAKES, HERE WE COME!
• All main series Pokemon games have had some kind of Nintendo console in the hero's house. Every system has been in the hero's house except the Super NES.
• The creater of Pokemon, Satoshi Tajiri, got inspiration from one of his favorite pastimes, bug catching.
• Magikarp's English name has the word "magic" in it, and the Japanese name, Koiking, suggests that it is the king of fish. Could the game developers be mocking Magikarp?
• Buizel and Floatzel have two tails, but can't learn Aqua Tail.
